Owned by hard-working and passionate hospitality duo Joey and Jeremy Massa, Acustico brings a touch of pizzazz to Brunswick’s vibrant café scene. Look for the converted warehouse with the beautifully painted mural of a sleeping figure and a black crow on the side and unwind in its cosy timber-lined surroundings or under a shaded tree outside if Melbourne’s weather is kind. Brunch dishes here go beyond the usual smashed avocados and poached egg offerings – think smoked salmon carpaccio with grated beetroot and quail eggs or for sweet toothed café dwellers, the ricotta pancake with currants, banana, raspberries and roasted hazelnuts served with a dollop of natural yoghurt and honey. A range of freshly made salads and baguettes are also available for those stopping by for a healthy lunch.
