Not what I was expecting but very tasty. Mondays have a buffet meal. Set price and choice of 4 different mains. The steak I had was yummy and well cooked. Great company too and the staff were very accommodating. Will eat there again!

On Friday 23rd February a very good disabled friend and I were booked in for dinner. My friend needed to go to toilet and when we entered the toilets we were horrified to discover that there were NO disability toilets or facilities in the "normal" toilets - not even a bar to hang on to!!!!!! My friend nearly fell onto the wet floor and became very anxious and had an extremely difficult time in transferring from wheelchair to toilet and vice versa. There was nothing to hang on to!!!! The floor was also wet already. We informed the gentleman who was behind counter in the dining room and are hoping he took us seriously. We also told Jess the lovely waitress. The food was excellent.

A super lunch with beautiful river views, relaxed atmosphere coupled by lovely staff, great service and delicious meals. Highly recommended. A must to visit and absorb the food and hospitality.

Visited this hotel for dinner with a group of 6 adults last Friday evening. We had a table booked and had placed our order by 7:30pm.. After waiting for over an hour for our meals, and watching 3 different groups of people receive their meals at the table next to us, I went up to the counter and asked how much longer we would have to wait. After checking the system the response I received was astonishing. I was told that it had been over an hour and they would be ready in 10 minutes. If "over an hour" is the normal wait time at the Riviera Hotel for 6 meals then I certainly won't be bothering again to drive the 60km return trip from my home for dinner here. At the very minimum an apology would have been nice Riviera Hotel. You have made it very difficult to recommend your hotel for dinner to my guests!

Riviera Hotel has some interesting information on why Australia is called the land down under?
Australia is known as 'the land Down Under' for its position in the southern hemisphere. The discovery of Australia began when European explorers searched for land under the continent of Asia. Before Australia was discovered, it was known as Terra Australis Incognita the unknown southern land.
