Epping Forest is a small rural community on the Midland Highway, 45km south of the city of Launceston and only 20 mins from its airport. In recent years this highway has been named the Heritage Highway in recognition of its history. It was built by convicts and still retains many old sandstone buildings and coaching inns. As well, Epping Forest was once infamous for bushrangers. Rose Cottage would like to hold you up for a while, without the former consequences, but with good food, a comfortable bed and country hospitality.
