About Scutts Hut

Book Direct with the Owner at Scutts Hut with Tourism TAS in Kaputar, for all your Attraction and travel needs.

Scutts Hut is a fascinating historic site and well worth the walk-in adventure. This slice of early pioneer history is set on the scenic banks of Horsearm Creek within Mount Kaputar National Park in North West NSW. Built by grazier Archie Scutt in 1938, it took two years to complete. Most of the materials, including a rainwater tank, were brought up the mountainside by packhorse, which was no mean feat in those days. There’s also optional bush camping on a grassy clearing near the hut if you prefer to take your time. ...
